This is a stupendous little 1950s suit with a Rafi New York label. The fabric is just wonderful and the photos do not convey how it really is incorporated into the design as an element to how the suit sits and looks. It has enough weight to it to take advantage of its slightly sculptural qualities while still remaining light weight when on. The skirt skims the hips and is cut in that classic 50s pencil skirt. The jacket is beautiful with to the elbow sleeves that stay straight and wide. The shoulders are rounded and I love the little notches at the waist. The closure at the front is the star of this suit though - each button is a round little ball of smoky grey rhinestones. Each of the three buttonholes are finished and have a little swoop of stiffened fabric to decorate! Absolutely beautiful! Excellent, appears unworn condition
